Back Seat Theology

Yesterday on the way home from spending hours upon hours painting at our new place, Davian was quite the chatter box.  If you have met him, you know this is nothing new.  I am pretty sure that God put Davian's words per day quota at about 100,000 words.

Last night the topic of conversation was God.  It really warms my heart to hear him talk boldly about his love for God.  For Davian, it is a living and present love.  In the backseat he was telling Tegan, "You know if you sit very still, you can feel God put his hand on your shoulder."

This statement lead into a discussion about salvation and inviting Christ into his life.  We are not pushing him to make his decision for Christ, we want that to be HIS decision and commitment.  He's not quite there, yet.  But, he brought tears to my eyes with his next statement.  "If God was in this neighborhood, I would bust out of this car and give him a BIG hug!"

Me, too, buddy!  Oh, to have childlike faith...
