Home Makeover: Day 1

Most of you know that we just closed on our new house in CA.  To answer the lingering question: we have not sold our NC house, yet.  We are still waiting on God's timing for that sale. 

We have started the renovations on the new house.  Here are some pictures from Day 1.  I am going to TRY to get pictures every day to chronicle the progress.

This is a formal living room, but we call it the empty room since we don't have furniture for it, yet!

 The boys had a thousand questions for our contractor: why were there so many nails?  How did he get the carpet up?  Where was he going to take all the stuff?
